Travel Plans
What is a Travel Plan?
A Travel Plan is a package of measures and initiatives aimed at promoting more environmentally friendly
travel choices and reducing overall reliance on the car.
What is the purpose of a Travel Plan?
• to encourage people to choose sustainable (greener) modes of travel
• to promote and improve facilities available to enable people to use alternative modes of travel
• to reduce your carbon footprint and improve the local environment
• to improve people's health
• to reduce parking pressure and traffic congestion
• to reduce travel costs
Why choose Peter Evans Partnership?
We have many years experience of providing travel planning advice for a range of clients including healthcare
and education organisations, retail and employment businesses, and residential developers.
We work closely with each organisation to develop a Travel Plan suitable for their individual needs.
We are members of ACT TravelWise, the UK's main network for organisations promoting sustainable travel.
Our work ranges from promoting current travel options to developing and managing full Travel Plans.
We can help with...

Why are Travel Plans needed?
Voluntary Plans
• reduce a company's carbon footprint as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility
and improve their environmental credentials i.e. ISO 14001
• help to achieve government aspirations such as 'Healthy Schools' or 'Eco Schools' status
• improve the environment where we work and live
Planning Requirements
• Travel Plans are now required for many planning applications and can enable intensification
of uses on sites, for example by reducing existing traffic generation
• We can prepare all relevant documents, liaise with highways officers and discharge
